Eric Bledsoe is going to the LA Clippers from the Memphis Grizzlies. In return the Grizzlies are getting Patrick Beverly, Rajon Rondo, and Daniel Oturu.
This deal will save the Clippers about $30 million in luxury tax. Steve Ballmer may be rich but that is still a lot of cheesecake.
Bledsoe was actually drafted by the Clippers back in 2010 and now returns. With Kawhi recovering from a partially torn ACL and probably missing a lot of regular season time, this is another player that can get buckets and take some of the scoring load off of Paul George and the rest of the team.
The Grizzlies are acquiring 2 expiring contracts in Beverly and Rondo and they will probably try to flip them to a contender for picks or young players as they continue to build around Ja Morant.
